Be careful what you wish for... I've heard predictions that Biden will resign the Presidency in September. That would give Kamala the White House, make her the first woman President, etc. and the Democrats would have a lot of excitement/momentum heading into the election.

Highly unlikely. There is nothing she can do with the position at that point.
Only way I could see this happening is if Trump were ahead in the public polls. Trump has historically run about 3% ahead of where the public polls say he's at. Kamala is ahead in the polls because she is hiding from the press. After the DNC convention she is going to actually start talking to the press.

Right, and they know all of that. Coming at it from a different angle, they're going to play every card they have behind her and having Joe step down doesn't hurt her chances, it helps them re-frame the conversation as "we have our first black woman president, don't be the racist who voted to end that."

My original prediction just after the debate was that FJB would drop out of the race, but stay in office, so (,)La could campaign and not have to do the job. My current take is that after the D convention and a debate, if her numbers sag even a bit, they'll coronate her to drive the news cycle back her way, guess we'll see. There's a ton of stupidity out there that love and respond to "firsts", unfortunately.
Her plan is to run out the shot clock and not talk to the press. She's happy to let social media be her interaction with the 20%, and she knows that the MSM won't turn their backs on her.
She'll say it's a new type of messaging and it doesn't involved traditional pressers and interviews. Her proof is that she's up in the polls.
All she has to do is keep this up for 25 more days until the early voting starts and then glide into November 5.
For the sake of argument, I'll assume she beats Trump and if so, Kackles will come back to do unscripted events. She won't care about the gaffs and neither will her handlers since they'll control the office, policy and narrative.
The plan is to run away from the MSM and have no unscripted events.
