"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

President Joe Biden is reportedly planning to push his police reform agenda via an executive order as early as this month.

The executive actions are still being finalized, according to NBC News, but are expected to be rolled out at the start of Black History Month in February as the administration tries to achieve policy goals leading up to the president’s State of the Union address in March.

I think you’ll find out that his big “reform” is a huge nothing burger.

The left always doubles down when it's ass is comprehensively shown. A cousin to Thatcher's notion of ratcheting socialism.

For the past hundred years or more, the State Of The Union address has been delivered mostly in January, with some in early February. The latest date was February 12 (Barack Hussein Obama).

Has there been any reason given, that Biden's address is pushed all the way back to March?

Maybe he's hoping that, by then, he'll have something to talk about other than "I've been a dismal failure?"

Won't matter. Joey's in freefall and my bet, by March, he'll be looking very fondly on his current 38% approval rating.

I wouldn't be surprised if he skipped the SOTU speech altogether.

38%? That's way too generous. Latest from Quinnipiac has him at 33%.

On purpose, or because he didn't know what the state of the union address is? Wink

They claim his polling in the Real Clear Politics poll is 43% so I kinda split the difference a bit. I also seem to remember reading something that had him at 38%. Regardless, all we're really debating is just 'how' bad people hate the guy. And the horizon for ole Joey looks really bleak.

This is my speculation as well. I see no way he could get through a entire speech as long as the SOTU speech normally runs. They are waiting to develop a set of circumstances to have a proxy deliver (Joe's under the weather) or avoid it entirely. Just shit can it as far as I'm concerned, this is a totally void presidency may as well be void of a SOTU speech.

Not to be construed as defending POTATUS, but the Constitution does only say "from time to time." But it doesn't say "skip altogether."

The Constitution? Oh you know the thing. This administration is not about to follow what the Constitution has to say about a speech. They obviously don't reference it for anything else.
