I have (somewhat jokingly) suggested to myself, I would be willing to give up my 2nd Amendment rights, IFF (ie IF and ONLY IF), all politicians, elected/appointed officials, and all their staff, would, at the same time, vow that they will never have any guns themselves; nor will they ever have any "hired guns" to protect themselves. Somehow I don't think Biden-Harris-Pelosi-Schumer would agree.

Most people forget that the real enemies of the country are not just the visible talking head politician but their staffers who actually come up with the ideas and write all the positions and bills.

Without the staffers the politicians would show how dumb they really are.

And as for any weapon bans, Ohio already has legislation in our house and senate to become a sanctuary state for the 2nd amendment and to allow our firearms industry to keep making shit... If other states can do it for illicit drugs and immigration, than we can do it with guns.

Some years ago a CA state assemblyman (or state senator) was the dominant Sacramento politician against gun rights. Someone noted that he had concealed carry, regularly carried a Beretta. His reply "of course, I never know when someone might want to attack me".
