I see two problems ahead.
First, socialist governments always lead to a souring economy and a decline in rights. The gov't robs Peter to pay Paul, but the gov't pays itself first. Socialism leads to a two tier society, the ruling class and the subservient class.
Second, when this happens, Trump will get the blame. Many will not connect the flash with the bang.
