Too many moving parts to be able to take any sort of accurate measurements.

Even taking an accurate overall temperature at any given moment that encompasses the whole earth is impossible. Way too large and complex.

Add to that, very microscopic changes in the earth's axis angle, solar flares, etc. can make a real difference in the the temperature.

If true environmentalists could have simply said lets reduce pollution as much as practical for a variety of reasons, most people would agree that's a good thing.
Instead they have tried to use this as a weapon and scare tactic against capitalism and more advanced societies for social engineering.

I believe in natural climate change.
I also believe that man is contributing to pollution to the resources of this planet in a manner that is not good.
We (the whole world) need to stop polluting the water we drink, the air we breath, and the soil that we grow crops in.
The massive use of chemicals that is spread on crops has already causing water pollution of drinking water in many farm areas. There was a PBS program several years ago about the problem. Ground wells that no longer produce drinkable water causing small communities to have to build costly treatment plants just to have safe(?) drinking water.
And I, for one, wonder how much damage these chemicals in our air & water are going to do to the human body in the future.

Integrity is doing the right thing, even when nobody is looking.

Climate change is the environmentalist wackos' religion. Nothing can, or will, change their minds.

I learned that from listening to Rush!

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

It's certainly true that the "true believers" in climate change--at least among our ruling class--don't act as if they believe it's true.
They buy houses on the ocean; fly private jets; and, most importantly, they ignore the benefits of nuclear energy in providing a stable, cheap and relatively safe source of energy that does not "heat up the planet".

Their policies will necessarily make the vast majority of people in both developed and undeveloped parts of the world worse off--much worse off--in exchange for preventing a very questionable, at the very least greatly exaggerated bad outcome.

Better idea.... can we start tossing liberal climate change advocates into the volcano until the issue goes away?

I think thats a wonderful idea

we have a volcano - several in fact that are active right now, no waiting, step right up - here , let me give you a pat on the back

the sea levels are rising as the ice caps melt...if that were actually true then why is water level at the Statue of Liberty at the same height today as when it was constructed?

Why is Plymouth Rock still visible?

Who ever said that the polar ice caps were always a part of the planet's ecosystem? I recall reading somewhere that the oldest glacier on the planet is only 23 million years old (deduced by core samples) which means they're not always here, they're just here right now.

What if the polar ice caps are the exception and not the norm?

Exactly!!!

Even if the projections are correct (which they are NOT), that's another 75 years away. Three generations of humans away!

We have very real pollution problems today. And we have very real human suffering today. Both can be greatly relieved with some inexpensive measures. But the green crap makes both worse.

The people next century will be far worse off from us polluting than from whatever minor impact we humans might have on climate.

Robert Bryce's Substack has a most interesting post recently, called "Burned Alive". It describes and displays in graphs the enormous gap in energy consumption between the developed and the undeveloped world. There is no "energy transition" in Africa--high energy consumption is the sine qua non of economic prosperity.

Here's a sample graph:

3.7 billion people in the world consume less electricity per year than one large kitchen refrigerator.

And the 'burned alive' story is about how people in those countries risk fiery death in order to acquire a pitiful amount of illicit fuel, whether gasoline or natural gas.

So you're the type of guy that finds a heat problem and thinks something might be amiss with the furnace.

That's crazy. Everyone knows if it gets hotter, you don't look at the furnace, you just open a window.

Of course, you're exactly right, but you can't grift people out of money and freedom if you point out that it's all perfectly natural and there's nothing you can do about it. The leftist maxim is this: there is no profit to be made dealing in truth.

^^^^ Yes... these people offer nothing but smugness and destruction.

Enjoy this recent clip of a smug, fussy, effeminate BBC reporter accusing Guyana’s president of wrecking the “climate” by developing that country’s vast, newly-discovered undersea oil reserves. Guyana’s president was having none of it and quickly put the arrogant reporter in his place, right down amongst the creeping things that crawl upon the Earth:
image 10.png

CLIP: Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of Guyana goes President Trump on BBC reporter (2:20).

President Ali starts by saying, “I am not finished as yet! I will lecture YOU about climate change!” and it only gets better from there. Since the pandemic, reporters regularly score the lowest on trust and likability surveys, much to the amusement and benefit of lawyers, whose stocks have gone up a lot. Behold Gallup’s headline from October 2022 (and things have only gotten worse for reporters since then):

Sometimes I wonder whether it was President Trump who first showed the world how to handle sold-out corporate media narrative pushers. Anyway, enjoy the clip of President Ali taking the awful BBC reporter to school.

CERTAINLY the old money white guy is FAR more intelligent and knowledgeable about the world than some second world brown guy… right? The big giveaway was his smug, self righteous attitude on telling a sovereign nation how they should do business.

Perhaps somewhat with regard to Antarctica. The Artic ice cap, however, is nothing more than an ice cube in a glass of water. It doesn't matter how fast or slow it melts as it won't raise the water level a bit.

It’s the ice on continents that are the world changers. The ice in the arctic is a pittance compared to Antarctica- about 90 of the worlds ice (a whopping 70% of the worlds fresh water) is locked up there. Greenland has about 12%. Both melting would result in about a 225’ change in sea level. Neither are melting any time soon, but that won’t stop the leftists from drumming up the fear of it happening.
