I did mow my lawn yesterday and the fan held fast. I’ll keep this epoxied part as a backup if I ever break a fan again.

Looks like a perfect place for JB Weld. Drill a couple holes into the plastic and metal maybe. Giving the stuff even better bite.

You may have already done the repair but if not, you might consider a couple of metal pins in addition to the epoxy/JB Weld to take the majority of the torque load. Probably what Reflex is saying above.

Did you try Jacks Small Engine Repair?
https://www.jackssmallengines....up/part/toro/1446597 Says in stock 2-10 days but I've always had good luck with them getting stuff.

also this video has some details about the fan design, just not sure if it's correct about that washer business. https://youtu.be/WPys-I-Uq4I?si=CkR9PMCDaoOuYTxZ

But yes I think the right jbweld product should get you by for a bit.

The epoxy is still holding. I did get the replacement part but I’m going to wait to see if the original part holds up.

The original, epoxied part is still intact and working as expected.

RE: Jack's Small Engine.

They've been my go-to for lawnmower/small engine parts for years.

My last couple of orders have been partly or entirely back-ordered with RIDICULOUS ship dates. Anyone know if they have gone to a drop-ship business model?

I cancelled my last order and went with aftermarket parts from Amazon as Jack's estimated a ship date 6 weeks out.

I generally get parts from mowpart.com or ebay.

I've used Jack's for some time, last order maybe six months ago with quick delivery.

I’ve used Jack’s more than a few times without any problems, but just last week I had to cancel an order for an idler pulley (and a few other parts) when the order status went from “expected from supplier on X date” to “extended backorder”.

Sorry, Jack, but literally every other small parts supplier has these in stock and ready to go. Not sure what their problem is, but I ordered from Parts Tree and had my parts within a couple of days. I should have cancelled Jack’s and ordered elsewhere as soon as I saw the initial back order status rather than waiting for the projected availability date.

Oops, it was late when I posted. I've used Bill's small engines in the St. Louis area, not Jack's.
