Any suggestions? Prefer lower cost, but not opposed to paying money provided it is worth it. Need a good CD burning program to turn LEGAL digital music into music CD's for use in a car CD player that doens't play MP3 or other digital audio formats. Any suggestions will be appreciated. iTunes? I use it because it came with the laptop, but I downloaded the free version of iVolume to balance the sound for car use because iTunes Sound Check sucks.

BurnAware free is... free. www.burnaware.com "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." No need to use the AAC format iTunes does just fine with mp3s. I use iTunes for compressed formats because it is simple to use. I use mp3 as well as that is what is supported with the USB ports in the car not AAC. But Microsoft’s media player suit thing should already be loaded on your machine. It works fine and is just a bit clunky. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. I have used all of these. They are all free. InfraRecorder is opensource. CDBurnerXP works with all versions of Windows despite it's name. I like ImgBurn - but just pay attention when you install it. The last time I installed it , it came with additional software that I had to opt out of during the install. Awesome set of products for burning, ripping, serving > and more for what ever you need. https://www.dbpoweramp.com/ I use almost all of the various ones. Love CD Ripper and use the dlna server (not what you asked about) but I rip all my CD's to a NAS then serve them to devices). There is also a music converter program too. They are not that expensive albeit not free but work well. Find what works for you plus you can try them for free.

MediaMonkey Free version. It's a great player/library manager too Playlists -> CD are 2-3 clicks & done I think you have to pay for auto-playlists, but they are VERY useful. A couple clicks to send to android devices too (might be paid version only, not sure) I'd pay for it again. Not something I say often.

If I understand your question, you have MP3 music you want to play in a car CD player that only recognizes "real" CDs. As I understand it, CD music is in WAV format (non-complressed, full fidelity), so it's a two-step process. First, you have to up-convert MP3 to WAV. This will yield WAV files, but with the MP3 quality. Nothing you can do about that, but then your ears may not be able to tell the difference. Mine can't. Then you have to burn that to CD. I'm not sure if the solutions above do that. If I were to do it, I'd use EAC to up-convert, then IMGBURN to burn. Thus the metric system did not really catch on in the States, unless you count the increasing popularity of the nine-millimeter bullet. - Dave Barry "Never go through life saying 'I should have'..." - quote from the 9/11 Boatlift Story (thanks, sdy for posting it)
