Truck Tire Flies Thru Restaurant Window in Houston Suburb
Last time I ate here, I was seated along the windows but two tables closer to the hostess.

A post on the restaurant’s Facebook page said the tire came off the truck on the North Freeway before going through one of the restaurant’s windows.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas — Incredible video shows the moment a tire flew off the freeway and into the window of an Italian restaurant near The Woodlands, narrowly missing an employee.
The incident happened Thursday afternoon at Pallota’s Italian Grill in Oak Ridge North. A post on the restaurant’s Facebook page said the tire came off the truck on the North Freeway before going through one of the restaurant’s windows.

Wow...thats crazy.
The "North Freeway" is Interstate 45, which is at least 100 feet from the front of the restaurant, slightly elevated (10 feet or so at that point IIRC). I-45 is separated by a feeder road at least three lanes wide, then a big strip mall parking lot, then the restaurant and other businesses that face the parking lot.
Amazing that the tire left the truck, probably flew over the feeder road, bounced through parking lot w/o hitting a car, boom into the window.
Have eaten at Pallottas dozens of times, was my go to Italian restaurant the 9 yrs I lived in The Woodlands.

That first guy, the poor bastard was already on crutches. They were sitting right next to his chair.
I was a few hundred feet behind a truck, one of those dually work trucks with tool boxes going all the way around the bed, when a rear tire flew off. We were in the interstate, doing probably 70 mph and all of a sudden I saw the truck start shaking, then the rear passenger tire flew off. That thing must have flown 50+ feet in the air. Luckily when it came down it bounced on the shoulder and kept bouncing and rolling a stop in the grass off the right side of the interstate.

Lucky Guy, it really didn't flie thru the window, more like into the window and the frame since it ended up outside the place.
Still, that guy probably had to get new shorts...

Ate there just a couple weeks ago, was seated at the 6-top at the bottom of the video.
Pretty amazing for it to make it from the interstate to the window.
The Enemy's gate is down.

First I thought how lucky the place was mostly empty. Then the tire comes right through the only place a person was near. Unlucky. But luckily, he did not appear to be (at least seriously) injured.
