Steve CollinsAftermarket Remote Start Devices for Vehicles
Looking for recommendations for remote start units for my 2012 Toyota Sienna. What works best for the group?
I have had Audiovox Carlink in it since I bought it in 2013 but these folks have screwed me over twice now! First time the unit suddenly quit working only to find out it was that they decided not to support that unit anymore. They were only too happy to sell me an upgraded unit, at a discount. I gritted my teeth and went with the new unit. Fast-forward a couple of years....2nd unit suddenly stops working. Investigation finds that the service expired the day before and cannot be renewed because.... the SOBs have decided to discontinue service for it!!!
So, that is the sad story for why I am looking for recommendations for a great replacement unit that has nothing to do with Audiovox.

2000Z-71Quite a few people at work have this brand installed. No personal experience with them but was looking at them when considering trading my truck in on a 4Runner. The biggest reason my coworkers installed them was the cell phone app. Yes, start your call with a cell phone. Seems ridiculous until you have to walk outside in below zero weather, start your vehicle and wait for it to warm up. So now they start their vehicle from the warmth of the break room and it's warm when they walk out.

C-DubsI’ve had
Viper remote start systems on my last 2 vehicles, and have been very happy with them.
I’ve got a 2-way remote with it, so it alerts me audibly that it received the key press to unlock/lock or start, and works from up to about 400yds away.
After about 3 years, one remote died, but a replacement was picked up, and I easily programmed the replacement.
