LBTRSNo question, get the Samsung S8.
I handle the cell phones at my employer and it is SOOOO much easier to do things on an android. That stupid apple account causes us so much problems on our work phones.
I spend much more time supporting iphones then I do those with android phones.

remsigIt's not even close for me: Galaxy all day long. I have the S7 for personal use and the iPhone SE for work. I HATE the iPhone with a passion.

birddog1I voted iPhone. I have a Galaxy for work and iPhone for personal use. I find the Galaxy much harder to use. I guess it’s all what you’re accustomed to.

comet24What have you been using or used in the past? Both are great phones really comes down to personal preference.

mark123I voted iPhone because I can't deal with quirks and randomness.

Lord VaalicThose are the only two choices. I currently have a Microsoft Windows phone by Nokia.

SigmundAre there any apps you MUST have? If so, see if they'll run on either one. I used to have an Android but switched to an IPhone 7 to get ForeFlight.

usp_fanI made the switch last year with these same 2 options as my choices. I was transitioning from an iPhone 5. Went with the S8 Galaxy and have not looked back. The learning curve was not very steep and not having to use i-Tunes is bliss.

sigarms229A few years ago I would have said Galaxy. I was one of those guys that bashed Apple because I thought they controlled too much. I've changed though.
Today I carry an Iphone 7 for work and a 7 Plus as a personal phone. I couldn't be happier.
Also a few years ago our IT group preferred Android. Today it's Iphone.
I suggest you go to a cell phone store and handle both phones.

cokehockeyIphone. I used samsung for several years and liked them, however Iphone just works. You'll be happy either way, so don't fret.

Have you experienced these "quirks" first hand or is it more hear say?
I havent had any issues with any of my Galaxy phones. Im currently using a Note 8. Its been a great phone.

ensigmaticiPhone. Doubly-so if the Android device is a Samsung product. To the point you could not
give me a Samsung mobile or tablet. (Well, you could, but I'd sell it and replace it with an Apple product.)
But my reason is a reason most people apparently find relatively unimportant: Security. IMO Android's security record is as bad as, or worse than, Microsoft's. I eventually decided I couldn't live with that any longer and switched to Apple.
As for usability: I regard it as a toss-up. Each has its advantages and disadvantages.

GibbI voted for the Galaxy S8. That said, are you using any Google or Apple products now? Familiarity with the operating systems will go a long way.
I have a Windows phone for work myself (My Nokia crapped out so I was rolled back to a HTC OneM8) and can't wait until we change to the Samsung Android phones.
I shall respect you until you open your mouth, from that point on, you must earn it yourself. May 04, 2018, 12:38 PM
the_sandman_454I'm using a Kyocera Duraforce Pro, because I have to use it in C1 Div2 electrically classified areas.
If I didn't have that constraint, I'd go with the S8 or preferably the Note 8.

jimb888I switched to Google as my carrier and a top of the line Nexus 6 phone (from an Iphone 4 and Verizon who'd sent out a price increase to their un;limited users). Wish I'd just gotten the Apple. Except that I'm saving a lot of money of course as I never use 2 gb in a month and never did when I had Verizon:-)
