My wife has a Lutino Cockatiel "Gizmo." He's going on 27yrs old now which is quite a life for a Lutino. His wings haven't been clipped in 20+ years. His vision is poor and therefore we're quite careful of him being out and about.

I also have a normal gray Cockatiel we have had for 16 years. 27 is a long time.

Thank you all for the kind words. This morning is not easy. The other birds are calling for her and looking for her even though we tried showing them her body last night. My wife is taking it exceptionally hard as Rosey bonded very strongly to her.

I’m so sorry for your loss, what a beautiful looking bird. Birds are wonderful pets, so intelligent and fun with very specific personalities. I’m glad you had the time that you did together, Rosey was clearly happy and loved.
