Anyone still using Armslist?

UnderdogAnyone still using Armslist?
Just checked the site and now you have to log in to even see the listing price.

The website is terrible. I have the distinct feeling if I create a login Steve from India will be calling me shortly.
There has to be a better way to monetize that platform than what they are doing.

Mars_AttacksStopped the instant they made it a pay per play.

AnubismpSame. I wish they would have just gone the membership/feedback route like so many places. I know we had to cut down on the shadiness and African princes but pay to play likely wasn't the right approach. Seems like many still put their phone numbers or emails in the description.

Like you, as soon as they fuzzed the description and price, I deleted the bookmark.

remsigYesterday was my last day on the site. I had been paying the monthly fee to use the site but once they made it impossible for people who didn't pay to even see a picture I said screw them. Luckily for me an AR15 I'd been trying to sell/trade finally was traded last night. Just hours before my time ended

All they want is premium sellers because they charge them $29.99 per month. Armslist can eat shit. I bet they'll find out real soon how many people have ceased to use their site.

Underdog$29’a month for that site?

Their nitch, which they misunderstood was local sales. It was great spotting a well priced item and jumping on it.
No shipping, no FFL. Oh’ well.

NK402Never used Armslist. Spent a lot of money with Gunbroker but am pretty much done with them due to their recent enthusiasm for fees and tax collection.
November 07, 2021, 05:17 PM
PatenI haven't used Gunbroker since the early 2000's. Now I'm trying to bid on a gun and it wants me to verify who I am by uploading pictures of my drivers license and then connecting to my web cam to take my picture. The process is failing every time I try. Is it worth it to continue to try?

sigarms229Nope, same as others stopped using it when they required a subscription.

sigspecopsI used it when it was free every now and then but I don't see how they're gonna stay in business this way.
