Don't Fire Mueller, President Trump...
Hope this isn’t a jib jab. I just discovered Kurt Schlichter who wrote the following article:

Don't Fire Mueller, President Trump – Let Him Keep Making A Fool Of Himself Instead. Link

His nick name for Hillary seemed appropriate -
Felonia Milhous von Pantsuit.

I thought the President already said he was not firing Mueller.

No need to, FBI is making a mockery of itself. Between the lies and conflicts of interests this investigation is going nowhere.

The whole appearance of impropriety thing is out the window.

All 'good things' must come to an end. But can a search for something that doesn't exist ever be done?

I see three end games.
1) Muller decides to exonerate Trump on his own, and wrap it up, or
2) If/when it becomes obvious #1 will never happen, Trump fires him, or
3) The gig turns into a 'Permanent Floating Crap Game' and when Mueller retires one of his kids will inherit it and keep going.

Not expecting #1, I see firing him to be an eventual necessity. It is like having termites in a house. You can always hope they will go away but if they're eating well, they probably won't.

Timing and optics matter, of course, and now is not the time. But I would be surprised if they let it go too long in an election year. The farce needs to have gone on long enough so it is clear that the investigation had time to have been thorough, but not so long that the eventual firing screws up the midterm elections.

I think Mueller will end up needing to end it...

House Republican To Mueller: ‘Time To Put Up Or Shut Up’ With Evidence Of Collusion [VIDEO]

A Republican member of the House Judiciary Committee called on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation to “put up or shut up” regarding evidence of Trump campaign collusion with the Kremlin.

“It’s time for Bob Mueller to put up or shut up. If there’s evidence of collusion, let’s see it,” Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz said in an interview on Fox News Wednesday.

“If there’s not, let’s move on as a country and let’s institute reforms at the FBI so that an egomaniac FBI director like James Comey cannot depart from the normal standard procedures that guarantees all Americans equal treatment under the law.”

Gaetz is one of a handful of House Republicans leading the drumbeat against Mueller’s investigation, which began in May but took over from an FBI probe that was started in July 2016.

The way I see it, both legally and politically, it's a safe bet that Mueller stays until his appointment is done.

Sometime in 2034. Anno Domini.
