I can see how a LEO could need dozens of rounds in a work related confrontation. But as a tourist, you are not expected to participate in such a scenario. Off duty you are exposed to the same as the rest of us, which is likely the 3-3-3 scenario of 3 shots in 3 seconds within 3 feet. Statistically, 98% of conflicts where you unholster, you don't fire it. The miscreants run or cease their actions.

I hate the 10 round limitation, but odds are for a civilian situation, one 10 rounder is more than enough.

Living in East California now, just south of DC, I intend to fully comply with odious edicts by mis-informed and misguided civilian trustees of our government. Capacity reductions, etc. will change our lives July 1.

Thought about carry of the Kel-Tec PMR30, each mag holds 30 rounds of 22lr and it's a plastic fantastic gun. Have two spare mags so 90 rounds that weigh less than a P220 with two mags...

In large urban areas you would likely be assaulted by more than one assailant, they would all be armed, and practiced at there skills.
In most cases you will have very little time to resist. These criminals are not as stupid as you might think.
