Those pix are of a long bed 8' unless my eyes are deceiving me. I really like my crew max cab. But figure I could live with the supercab. A std cab for me would be a big no. The msrp for the configuration I would want is $55+k. If going to the 7.3L would jump it up some. Maybe another $3k-ish

I have really been wanting a F350 and will probably do the 7.3.

Valpo go the link PH posted of his new truck. Then look up the super duties. There is a blue F350 supercab 4wd 7.3L discounted $7k Price is under $54K. Now that is a nice deal on a great truck. If I was closer my trucks would be up for sale tomorrow

I confirmed with the dealer it's a short bed. 6-9

Just in case it’s a deal breaker, the window sticker for the one in the link says 142” wheelbase which is a regular cab 8’ long bed. Also:
“The 2024 Ford F-250 bed dimensions, as mentioned, vary between the two truck bed options. The F-250 also has three cab options.
The Regular Cab option is the traditional two-door layout and can only be combined with the Long Bed option.“ Link
Plus, it would suck if you order the wrong tonneau cover.
Either way, it’s a nice truck. I’d get an F350 with 4.30 gears to tow our 5th wheel. I bet with the 10-speed transmission the 4.30 gears wouldn’t affect fuel economy much.

Gator covers are really good. They are the same as Bakflip and undercover. Same parent company and all. Cheaper than the other brands.

I thought I'd like a Tundra, but they pulled the rug out by discontinuing the V8.
I tow a trailer with a SxS only infrequently, but I'm not willing to consider anything but a V8.
Buy yourself a gently used 2021 Tundra with the 5.7 it will long outlast anything you can buy new today and be cheaper. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Black92LX, March 14, 2025 06:17 AM

Another vote for the BAKFlip MX4.

I'd actually prefer a long bed. Be nice to be a le to carry a sheet of plywood again

I’ve had 2 Lomax folders 9 years worth now. They are three pieces of aluminum plate. As the name implies they are very low profile.

Looks like the EFX isn't able/doesn't have the ability to prop up for full access like the Gator FX & Bak MX4?
Half the price is appealing, but would make accessing a toolbox a no-go.
Have to go to the Gator FX for full folding/bed access. Still lower priced than the MX4, just not quite as much.
Looking for my coworker's Colorado, from the above realtruck site, looks like: Gator EFX: $600 Gator FX: $900 Bak MX4 $1,100

^^^I was thinking the same thing. I believe a 13 year old Toyota would be at least as good as a new Ford. Except that the new one might smell better.

admittedly I know nothing of cafe. And understand the greatness of the Tundra (current owner). A super duty F series is a good truck with good lineage. With a big V8 I do not know how the cafe bs is involved. Overall I am with you on the Tundra being the best pick up out there berfore their current clusterfuck. I do not think the F series Super duty are much of a step down in terms of a real truck though.

At the dealer now, paperwork drill. It is actually an 8 foot bed as someone noticed. Tall sumbitch.

That was me PH. Get them to line the bed. Also look at props to get in the bed from the ground. Enjoy the new truck!

Looks like a nice truck, Paul. I gotta say though, if you’re going to quote Scooby Doo, it’s “Ruh Roh.” Everybody knows that
