Association of Mature American Citizens. https://amac.us A seniors' organization similar to AARP, but without that organization's politics.

It's always about politics. AMAC is the conservative alternative to AARP. Of course, being late to the game, their membership is nowhere near that of AARP (38 million), although it's growing rapidly (1.1 million). Numbers according to Wiki.

I've been a member for years. They promote and lobby senior issues from a conservative viewpoint. A great alternative to AARP.

I joined it a few years ago. Don't make use of it in any way, but thought it was a cheap way to have my voice heard in D.C.

Definitely didn't want AARP speaking for me.

I plan to join, but I find it odd that one has to send a check to become a member....unless I'm missing something.

By this do you mean they do not accept credit cards and you find that odd, or do you mean that you have to pay to be a member and you find that odd? Curious...

Of course one would have to pay a membership fee, but I didn't see a way to pay with a credit card....unless again, I'm missing something.
