And that answers the question I posed in my thread title: multiple fingers in sequence. I thank you for it. Then, back in the video I posted, I can (barely) see the multiple-fingers in action. Especially at 0:50 for a few seconds on.

BTW – In your video it appears that the left and right hand castanets have different sizes. Especially at 3:15. Or is it a trick of perspective?

Which reminds me of this ditty:

I don't know Spanish or the instrument she is playing. In a different video, the woman was showing the area where thumb goes as having shallow notches and being different from on hand to the other. I surmise that those marks may show a different sound made by them.

BTW – A guitar quintet isn’t five guitars – it’s a string quartet + a guitar. Of the many Boccherini guitar quintets, I like No. 4, “Fandango”, and No. 9, “Night Music on the Streets of Madrid” best.
