I saw one the other day. Somehow I was expecting something bigger. It looked to be about the same size as Ranger-based
Bronco II that was produced from circa 1983-91.

That's funny, asking for a deposit for a car you won't see for probably two years with windows that are not guaranteed to roll all the way up. Big flat screen with GPS satellite and who knows what else, but going backwards in time with windows rollup technology, something that was invented 50 years ago. In that way engineers are a little stupid by ignoring the most obvious things that always worked well until they tried to fix stuff that was never broken to begin with. I see that problem all the time in the software world. A company's flagship product, with certain functions that worked great for x number of years, but no longer work for reasons that are for the most part inexcusable. I'm sure we could come with many examples of this problem in the automobile world. Sometimes when I'm under the hood or under the car I think, what the hell ?

You probably saw a Bronco sport which has nothing to do with the other two Bronco’s. Think of Bronco as a brand and not a model. Kind of like Jeep. Jeep used to just be a CJ type of vehicle but now they even have something like a Jeep Patriot which is a car platform.

UTsigWe looked at a full size last Fall, wife looking to replace her Pilot. She loved it, would have written a check if it was available. When she found out a year to year and a half wait we left. She ended up with a 2022 4runner, paid a premium but is happy.

Bob RIMy neighbor is selling his with 1700 miles on it and I have not had a chance to ask him why. I like the overall look but I don’t think I could buy a first year new model.

Calif PhilI have two friends with the new full size Bronco's one is a Rousch edition. They both really like them and are happy with their purchase.

Abn556I dread the day when I have to get a new truck. Replacing my Laramie will probably be $65k, but at least it has a Hemi V8. And yes I know how expensive gas is and no I don't care. The greenie weenies are not going to get me to give up my truck.

The Bronco (not Bronco Sport) is 14" longer than the Bronco II was years ago.
The Bronco sport is 20" longer than the original Bronco Gen I and the current regular Bronco is 21" longer than the Gen I. Not much difference in length between the Bronco and Bronco Sport.

To meet emissions requirements (i'm sure soon to include CO2) and mileage requirements, all passenger vehicle engines will be small displacement with computerized fuel injection / engine management. To get the power they want, to make the vehicles have any level performance, they engines will have some form of forced induction, usually turbocharging. The days of high torque/power relatively slow spinning big displacement V8 are being increasing relegate history. Look at what Ford is putting in pickups.

I think the 90's Broncos were the best looking of the whole series. Had a '94 and a '96 at various times in my life. They are in the top three of vehicles I regret letting go. Number 1 regret is the '78 Ford F100 w/351W, but that got wrecked so it's not like I let it go.

xmodI bought two new Broncos, one for me and one for my wife. We each got very different trim levels so they feel very different but both are great in their own way. I prefer Ford’s over many other manufacturers. I feel all cars / trucks have issues. The Bronco has it’s issues which I recommend going on a Bronco forum like bronco6g.com and you will learn more than you want to know.

I also prefer Fords over all other manufacturers and that's based on a lifetime's experience with cars of all makes and models.
Another thing about slow spinning V8s vs. smaller engines, the Bronco Sport 1.5L is doing 2200 rpm at 80 MPH, so it's not really working too hard.
But, to get back to the point, the other Bronco forum is the Bronco sport forum and it also has great info.
