Not quite on point, but recently I had an LG Blu Ray go out on me (surprised me because even though I had owned for ca 5 years, only occasional use). Researched online, apparently the same model has simply stopped working for many others as well. Am looking at Sony for a replacement. Clearly, A/V products not what they used to be.
