I'll give you this point. Leaving the masks on is strange. I don't understand why they would do that. Now searching this topic some corners suggest police conceal the identities of suspects before a witness is to identify him. I don't know if that was the case. Another reason I can think of have prior arrested suspects spit at arresting officers. For the record, the arrests that happened were detailed and written about on June 11th, 2022 in Idaho. I would also love to hear what LEO's have to say about why these arrests were handled this way.

Since arrests were made, can FOIA requests be made to get the identity of those arrested? Is that public knowledge? I'm guessing it is based on Police Blotters that appear in some newspapers.
Plus, this local footage. As you can see some on camera unmasked before being loaded up at the sight of their arrest. After finding this I think the mask issue was a photo of one instant that was weaved into a conspiracy theory.

There's no way that guy in the top right of the video thumbnail was one of those guys. His face is too chubby, the body would match the face, and neither of those would match any of those guys. Top left also has too much beard, and that doesn't match what I'm seeing going on under the balaclavas.
I'm unconvinced.

Yep, masks come off and photos taken at scene with a card identifying arresting officer and charges (most of the time you don't have a name yet, especially in mass arrests). Also in the videos I have seen of the "mass arrest", not one passive resistor (dead weight, have to be carried). EVERY single protest arrest I had been involved with and seen had at least a couple passive resistors.
