There is hope: A Chick-fil-A cashier in Lubbock, Texas, is being lauded for his act of kindness that took nearly a month to complete. Marcus Henderson, a cashier at the fast food chain, took customer Danny Cadra’s order at the drive-thru window. After Cadra received his food, he left, forgetting his $3 in change behind. Instead of simply putting the money back in the register, Henderson, who said Cadra was a regular, put the money aside. “I’m supposed to keep this and give it back to him. I knew he was a regular, I was going to see him again eventually,” Henderson said to KLBK. For the next few weeks, Henderson brought the money in an envelope to work every day. “It was basically a part of my uniform. It was my name tag, my hat, my apron and I just put it in my back pocket, just in case today might be the day where I see him,” said Henderson to KLBK. Eventually the day to return the change to its rightful owner came – and it caught Cadra completely off-guard. “[Henderson] says, ‘Awhile back, you left your change here,’ and I’m like, ‘My change, what do you mean?’ and he said, ‘You drove off without your change,’ and I said, ‘Are you serious man?’” said Cadra to KLBK. “I look in there and there’s the change.” Though the amount wasn’t much, the gesture was greatly appreciated. “It was like $3 and some change, and I never would have missed it,” said Cadra. “What a breath of fresh air,” Cadra continued. “It meant that much to him, so it meant even that much more to me.” Henderson said he felt returning the change was just part of the job. “I’m called to serve these people well, not only because of my job but who I am. This has pushed me to act in ways where I wouldn’t naturally,” Henderson said. The sweet gesture doesn’t stop there – Cadra and Henderson have since become friends and plan to meet up at a Chick-fil-A soon, KLBK reports. http://www.foxnews.com/food-dr...hange-for-weeks.html

As we say in Georgia, that young man had "good raising"! Above and beyond the honesty he displayed, he takes pride in his work and does it well.

The amount is all but irrelevant. Mr. Henderson obviously recognized the money did not belong to him or Chik-fil-A, and did the right thing in returning it. And I also bet parental upbringing had quite a bit to do with his behavior. Wasn't it CS Lewis who said.... “Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.” Well done Mr. Henderson. Well done. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. Every man should have several guns. And several dogs, because a man with a cat is a woman. I always enjoy going to Chick-fil-A. Always great, fast service. I was at one yesterday. I was on a field trip and the girls (cheerleaders) wanted to stop by Chick-fil-A. So I pull the bus up, they get off and I go park the bus, pull out my phone and open the app and order and pay for my food. I walked in and the staff is quickly and efficiently taking the orders and giving them to the girls. I walked up to the pick-up location and the manager noticed me ( I'm wearing my jacket with a bus on it ) and said "did you order with the app?" I said yes. He said that he will give me my money back, because I was the bus driver. I said no thanks, just take care of my girls. About then my order was ready and I got it and went outside to the bus to eat. The manager didn't have to offer that. He and the staff was very nice and friendly, they didn't seemed "put out" with 25 girls piling into the restaurant, unlike a lot of other restaurants that I have been to with a bus load of kids. I'm always glad when the kids want to go to Chick-fil-A, I know that I (we) will get fast, friendly service and great food. It's great that this employee went the extra mile and made sure that the customer received their change. ARman

Chick-Fil-A seems to attract the right kind of employee which is great especially given how ownership / management wants to conduct business. As I'm wont to say in these positive Chick-Fil-A threads, I wish there was one close by but alas.... Certifiable member of the gun toting, septuagenarian, bucket list workin', crazed retiree, bald is beautiful club! USN (RET), COTEP #192

I love my local Chick-fil-A. It's just a little pricey, but I'd skip two trips to any other fast food place in a given week to get my CFA fix later in the week. Good food, great service, polite employees, and a well-run company. God bless America.

Always find great people working there when I go. On a side note, I am honestly surprised that in today's upside down world of right and wrong that we didn't hear that the young man got fired for taking the money off the premises due to some zero tolerance policy.

A quality no doubt picked up in his interview and one of the reasons he is there. Good people and food at every CFA I have been to. Donald Trump is not a politician, he is a leader, politicians are a dime a dozen, leaders are priceless.

A regular customer at my work came in yesterday & the lady that usually helps her asked to get an envelope out of the safe. The customer had forgotten her change of $1.38 about a month before so the employee put it in the safe with her name on it for when she came back. One of the many reasons why I really like where I work.

Nearest one is 45 minutes away, but I had the luck today to be out there. Parking lot jammed pack and a line for the drive through, but I happily waited my turn. Whenever I have the potential to be scammed, I always think it's not going to make me that much poorer and it's not going to make them that much richer. In this case, the leverage works the other way, both are that much richer for the gesture. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." I love the breakfast burrito only second to the customer service. I will give them credit their customer service is top notch. My only complaint is that back in the day they used to have light, dark and decaf coffee and they got rid of the light. It is a tad pricey but since I only eat fast food once every couple of months it is worth it. And the only fast food I eat is Chick fil A.

My experience as well. I understand that you can own only one Chik-fil-A franchise. Gives the owner every incentive to make sure that one location is getting the job done.
