My Covid Experience
I have friends who have had the KungFlu. None have been as sick as you were. I’m certainly glad you are on the mend.

I'm sorry if I hurt you feelings when I called you stupid - I thought you already knew - Unknown

Thank you for all the good wishes.

I am not sure why I fell, suspect the Covid had just wiped me out along with the 103.7 fever. I just started to fall in sorta slow motion and thankfully my wife jumped in to keep me from knocking what little brains I have left out.

Glad you're both okay. I'm always curious, any idea how/where you caught it?

I've interviewed a ton of people at work that have had it but of course they all want to say they caught it at work. Even the ones we know are out partying every night and going to events and where there are a ton of people not protecting themselves.

I've stayed pretty close to home so I think I would know when/where I caught it if/when I do.

Mine came back. Took about two weeks to fully return. About the time I started showering again...

My friend also got light headed when he caught it last year. The docs said he was dizzy because his BP was pretty low 70/something, due to dehydration.

They kept him overnight with IV to rehydrate him. Since he was an early case (last thanksgiving) docs didnt even know what it was. They tested for flu, and sent him home. He was fine in a few weeks.

Sorry to hear it got you , but glad to hear you're on the mend.

Relieved you're feeling better.

Went down to Bay Pines couple years ago. Had no occasion to go inside; we were there for a funeral. They do it up right down there, full 21 gun salute and taps, it's quite moving. The campus is beautiful too. My favorite was the no swimming signs, except that's not what they say. They simply read, "Don't feed the alligators." The locals claim that the signs are very effective. I too am glad your doing better. I live in Land O lakes, work in Wesley Chapel and my wife works in Tampa (30th street and Hillsborough area) if you guys need anything email or text me @ Rotndad~AT~Gmail.com/(Eight One Three) Three Six Eight - Eight Seven Zero Two. We will obviously mask and glove up, leave stuff on your doorstep, ring the bell or bang on the door (since your old and probably half deaf Big Grin),and run. We could possibly slingshot stuff at you too. In all Seriousness, if you need something hit us up. We'd be glad to help.

You just missed out on the Rotndad and Mrs. Rotndad meals on wheels program. Last weekend I made lasagne from scratch and delivered it to two friends in the Orlando area, about a three hour roundtrip. One friend is just under the weather and the other is recovering from abdominal surgery. You win some you lose some.
Sorry for your loss, Big Grin of the lasagne in case me SOH doesn't come thru the interwebs Big Grin

Last thank you for your service and enjoy your Veteran's Day.

Sigmonkey, you were very encouraging to my wife. Thank you! It's pretty awful for her since I am such a good cook.

Rotndad, Thank you so much for your offer. I "think" we are in as good a shape as we can be. Couldn't get all the storm protection over parts of the house, but most is covered, we got food (and Oreos for me) plus water and Spam (gosh I hated that stuff back in the Army) and we are trusting Him to take care of us. I won't forget your offer and if you ever need anything I can supply, just tell me.

Hurricane is heading our way, looks like it'll visit just a short distance north of us and we will be on the wet side. Gonna be an interesting 24 hours.

Glad you're doing okay. I also had the worst chills I've ever had in my life. I was standing under scalding hot water in the shower and I was still shivering as if I'd just participated in the polar plunge.

Glad to hear you are better.
Just out of curiosity, what type of mask were you using? Was it an N95, or just a "surgical mask.

I love it here!

It was a heavy, black one, has a place for a #4 Melitta coffee filter and we both faithfully wore them.

I think we have narrowed the culprit down to one of the guys on the Christian bowling team my wife plays on. They tried to practice social distancing, but when someone got a couple-three strikes in a row.... One of the players came down with it a few days before my wife did.

She's not going back to play till this awful thing is over. Local mullet wrapper reports a spike of 10K new cases in one day.

Two reports in the past two days about the effectiveness of two of the vaccines being developed.

I'm ready to be a guinea pig.
