I had a rather large correction of comics that I left at a friend's house because he said he could figure a value for them but that evening his wife decided to go insane, have him arrested, and throw all his stuff (including my comics) into a dumpster. A huge chunk of my youth was laid into a landfill.

While I was into superhero comics, my favorite type was the scifi and weird, creepy type. Starstream stands out as one of my favorites.

There was one where Adolf Hitler, instead of killing himself, is escorted by a Nazi scientist to a chamber where he would be put to sleep until, as the scientists figured out, history would perfectly repeat itself and he'd rise with the fourth Reich. On the way to the chamber he kills a man for daring to impede his plan.

As he awakes, he finds the future to be exactly as the scientists predicted and he rushes to take his place in the new world. Finding his future counterpart he begins to explain only to be killed for daring to impede the plan of the future "Hitler".

I was convinced it was one of the four Starstream comics but it's not in there. It may have been something like "Weird Tales" but I can't seem to find that one.

Any comic nerds out there? Big Grin

I'm no expert, but it may be this comic based on your description- (1977 era comic).

I loved the old scary, creepy themed comics. I've searched for years for the first comic that I remember buying. It was about American GIs that crashed on an island inhabited by dinosaurs during WW2. I cant remember if it was a DC or Marvel comic.

Well, you could have scientist put you in chamber where where would be put to sleep until, as the scientists figured out, history would perfectly repeat itself and you could hang out by the dumpster with a baseball bat...

Remember that as a two parter. It was DC and the story stared with Marines parachuting onto a Japanese held island. They find the Japanese are dead, killed by dinosaurs.
They escape in a PBY taking out a flying dinosaur with a bazooka. The second park have then crash back on the island.

Hope you find your comic.

When my mother moved out of her house she brought me a box of my comics I collected as a kid. Peter Parker the Spectacular Spiderman #1, I have a bunch of Marvel invaders. If Disney brings human torch and submariner back these might be worth something. The spider man is worth about $60 last time I looked it up.

It's crazy that someone else remembers that comic, definitely a small world. After reading this thread I started looking into the wierd war tales and sure enough there's an entire series about soldiers fighting dinosaurs. I've been looking for this for years, I just forgot the name of the comic. All of this in a gun forum. You gotta love this place.

To quote some guy sometime, somewhere on the internet, "He wasn't all bad, after all, he did kill Hitler".

"It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye". The Little Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupery, pilot and author, lost on mission, July 1944, Med Theatre.
