It would be worth it. It’ll literally save you time and money. The analysis will tell you when you are wasting money by draining fluid out of the pan early, and unnecessarily. I had a STi that was fully tuned and I was amazed on my last oil change during my ownership. I would do say 1 track day on it, and drove it hard, and analysis said, at a 10k OCI “Oil is still fine, go to 12k OCI next time.” My eyes were like this reading that Eek

What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

I simply change my oil every 5,000 miles with Mobile 1 full synthetic. However my truck is a 2002 model and it seems to be in tune with me on when the change oil light comes on. If I had a newer vehicle, I wouldn’t care what it showed and would simply change the oil every 5,000 miles with synthetic oil. Oil and transmission fluid are the lifeblood of your vehicle and need to be taken care of.

My truck is a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 5.3 V8 Z-71 4x4. I love this truck and will drive it as long as I can. I just changed the transmission fluid and filter last weekend. This weekend I will change the transfer case fluid, replace the fuel filter, and the PCV.

ditto for my bmw and my daughter's subaru. i've switched us to 5w30 a long time ago and cars run better. mpg isn't affected. i can't measure emissions.
she's got a 152hp 4 cyl and i have a 302hp 4 cyl. we're both averaging 30+ mpg with our mostly city driving and lead foots.

Not minority enough!

I never knew about this Blackstone Oil testing until now. I figure I will give it a try on my next oil change and see what it says.
