Yes. One of my hobbies is detailing my truck, and picked up a few tips from Professional detailers with YouTube channels. I think I've only spilled twice in 9 years in my truck's carpet, but one time I did manage to spill bright orange buffalo sauce on my light gray carpet First, try the least aggressive method first. That would be vacuum up any dry debris, steam the stain (don't oversaturate), and blot it up with dry cloth. If that doesn't work, try a little more aggressive. Pretreat with a carpet cleaner (can DIY one with 10 parts water mixed with 1 part tide cold water), steam it, and blot it up with dry cloth. If that doesn't work, try a little more aggressive. Pretreat with a carpet cleaner, steam it, agitate with a brush, and blot it up with dry cloth. If blotting doesn't dry carpet sufficiently, grab your shop vac and vacuum it. As much as I love Barkeeprs Friend, use caution with it. Breathing in the dust that would surely arise can be quite dangerous as it contains oxalic acid. ________________________________________________________ It is long past time for a Convention of States. How does your grout get so dirty to begin with? They sell specific grout cleaning products at home depot that work really well with a hand brush, soft scrub with bleach also works really well with the right scrub brush (i use on on a long handle). | |||
