tatortoddI'm high and dry, but it starts getting dicey 5 miles east of me.
I was at the office in a windowless conference room all day long, but my neighbors said a few times it exceeded my neighborhood's street drainage system's 1 hour capacity so water rose to top of curb but went back down. We have a weather station at the neighborhood pool and it recorded 8.1" of rain today. The river west of me got within 1.5' of action level (went up 10' in a couple hours), but it's dropped 4' since then. The river east of me went about 6' above action level this afternoon (went up 18' in a couple hours), but is forecast to be fine by 1 AM.
The I-59/69 corridor (northeast Houston) got hit hard. For example, Kingwood Medical Center recorded 13.9" of rain today but just a little further northeast in New Caney they recorded 23.5" of rain. Most of these weather stations understate actual rainfall when it's raining sideways.

P250UA5I was stranded at my office near IAH for a few hours, water in the streets in front of the office was over the sidewalks.
No issues at home, just a mile or two from Todd.
Lots of high water around my office.
Saw a photo of a metro bus flooded to almost half its height on one of the roads at IAH.

12131290/Jones area had rain but not downpour, so I was spared of flooding.
My parents house in Spring Branch had water in, but nothing like a few years ago, when they had major damage and repair.
