I have several family members still living in the city and they all said it was rather eerie given the widespread darkness that blanketed their areas.

That particularly substation consistently has problems for all the years I grew-up and lived in SF, if there's a power-outage incident that substation is likely at the center or at the least involved with it. This current outage wasn't caused by this station as it went offline about an hour after teh outages started but, fire was like a result of the outages with contributed to a wider blackout.

The Waymo car stoppages has a lot of people up in arms, rightfully so. Due to the many one-way streets that the older parts of SF has, a number of Waymo cars ended up halting right in the middle of the street, blocking access and drivers behind had no way to go around, pretty infuriating.
