AglifterFBI Probes Missing US Scientists
Got it confirmed that the rate is “normalish” for the population’s socioeconomic status.
It’s extremely rare among functional - but again the rate is odd - 1 in 50 to 100,000.
So, it could be normal, but the signal is so weak, it’s hard to tell whether or not it’s normal.
(One of those things where it could easily be said, “truthfully” disappearances double or half on an annual basis, etc.
Still, something which should always be investigated.

sigfreundI will wait until further information surfaces to form any definite opinions, but considering how long Israel has targeted atomic and rocket scientists, I would not be the least bit surprised if some other power, or even a domestic whack job said, “What a
good idea!”

parabellumWell, it
is being investigated, if for no reason other than the conspiracy-prone have kept this up as a topic for so long, the Trump administration really has no other choice but to investigate it.
I didn't pay close attention to President Trump's recent response to questions about this, but what I did hear sounded tepid, at best.
My feelings is that federal authorities will go through the motions and will ultimately announce that they found nothing, which will, of course, spur the conspiracy crowd to double down, declaring that they "knew it!" (meaning that the lack of any findings confirms a conspiracy) which is always their response, no matter what.

220-9erIn addition to the large number of people that could fit the list of potential victims (Tens of thousands), I read some of the specific stories of those that went missing, or died in some fashion.
Most were actually not all that suspicious, just someone died naturally or accidentally. Almost all have been solved or accounted for or the story that made it suspicious was an old one that's since been resolved.
The short version, most look like clickbait to me. Either intentionally or by someone with a vivid imagination and serious confirmation bias.

Based on my very superficial reading of the cases I got some of the same impressions.
