My son went from reluctantly riding along with me on our 2 mile ride to the trails we live near to absolute loving it. We do about 2-4 more miles of trail riding and of course then have a 2 mile ride back home. In about a month I have noticed a DRASTIC improvement in his stamina, endurance and trail riding skills. I let him try out an old Specialized Stumpjumper today with 26 inch tires and he was blowing my mind with his speed on the trails. Here’s two pics from last week when we still had excellent conditions on the trail. This is our 1/2 way resting point on a super fun section of trail. Today it was muddy and rain soaked but we still had a BLAST. Until today his hardtail Polygon Xtrada 6 was his go to bike. Now that he has ridden a full suspension Specialized Stumpjumper and loved it he only wants to ride the Stumpy. Life is good. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

sweet! Enjoy that time -- if you have not already, may want to see if he is interested in joining NICA. My daughter rode for a short time and loved it. https://www.nationalmtb.org/ --K

Now he is bugging me to sell his Polygon and upgrade to a full suspension Polygon Siskiu in that blurple (blue / purple) colorshift paint job. Polygon is not a very well known brand but they are made in the same factory as the new Marin bikes and are built with quality components. For the money they are hard to beat. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance
