rat2306Abigail Spanberger Democrat Governor of Virginia
A follow-up to the posts above about the situation with the murder case. Descano is now national news.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news...8088126a506947&ei=42And our top three public officials in VA all are not what I voted for. Almost makes me wish for McAwful or Northam to be in office instead.

Man, it really ticks me off.
I did NOT vote for this. The swamp critters voted for this.

A few cities determine the destiny of the overwhelming majorities of counties they lost.
Really makes you appreciate the electoral college on a national level. If the states had a similar system America would be in a much better place.

Yep. It's even worse than Virginia in Illinois. The lib/socialist/commies in Chicago are a small part of Illinois geographically, but completely control the state politically.
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

vthokyShe's about to start signing the draconian gun control measures.
https://www.gunowners.org/va03052026/Senate bill 749 (ban on commonly owned firearms and standard capacity magazines) is headed to her desk.

vthokyAdding:
WDBJ article.
Snips from the article:
quote:
Del. Dan Helmer, (D), 10th District, who helped write the bill, said the legislation would put Virginia at the forefront of gun safety efforts.
“We’re going to be the first Southern state with an assault weapons ban,” Helmer said. “This is a critical opportunity to keep our communities safe from those firearms that are used in the most deadly mass shootings and from the extended high-capacity magazines that often make those shootings deadlier.”
quote:
Sen. Mark Obenshain, (R)-2nd District , argued the legislation would do little to stop gun violence while burdening law-abiding gun owners.
“Who’s going to obey this law? Is it going to be the people who are out there committing crimes on a daily basis?” Obenshain said. “Would it have stopped the shooting in Shockoe Bottom two weeks ago? Absolutely not. It is going to have an impact on the people who obey the laws, not on the people who disobey the laws.”
Obenshain said lawmakers should focus on crime and enforcement rather than specific types of weapons.
“If we were really serious about reducing crime, we’d focus on things like gang activity, we would focus on policing, we would focus on law enforcement in our communities, and we would focus on repeat offenses,” he said.
quote:
A spokesperson for Spanberger sent the following statement on the bill:
“As the mother of three daughters in Virginia public schools and a former federal law enforcement officer who carried a gun every day, Governor Spanberger knows how important it is to make sure kids and families are safe. The governor is grateful for the efforts of legislators and advocates to address gun violence in Virginia communities, and she looks forward to reviewing all legislation that comes to her desk.”

Once again, these nitwits can't seem to grasp that "gun violence" (I really despise that term) is NOT about the gun.

look at the demographics,
the dems control high density areas and are excellent at harvesting ballots, churches and groups do it a lot,
the give the folks a talking to when the give them a ride to the poles, heard that first hand when I worked in the hood,
meanwhile the GOP is worthless,
and the rest of the right leaning population was too busy not wanting to vote for the black woman or gay guy,
or they had a bad case of voter apathy,
would bet if you took a count of gun owners, a large percentage did not vote,

vthokyI have no doubt that a lot of people in this end of the state simply didn't get off their tails and go vote. That ticks me off, too.

mrapteam666What a crock...
A wave of the pen, and all the crime will go away....
This morning, I told the other half, of all the murders I have investigated while working in Law Enforcement and the Medical Examiners (over 16 years), I can only recall only one incident where a person was riddled, with an unknown make and model weapon chambered in 556/223.
That was in Charlotte, NC..
99.9% of the homicides I worked were from handguns, knifes, beatings with a hammer, ran them over with a car, etc..
I said it before and I will say it again...
They are always quick to throw out her CIA or LE experience..

vthoky DHS demands Spanberger, Virginia officials hold illegal charged with groping teens quote:
The Trump Department of Homeland Security has requested that Democratic Gov. Abigail Spanberger and officials in immigrant-friendly Fairfax County not release an adult illegal alien charged with groping several high school girls on school grounds.
Illegal alien Israel Flores Ortiz, 19, is facing nine counts of assault and battery for groping girls at a Fairfax County high school he was attending. Victims and parents have alleged that Ortiz approached about 12 girls from behind in crowded hallways, grabbed them between the legs and groped their private areas, according to 7News.
The outlet reported that parents said the incidents have occurred throughout the school year. Ortiz attends the school and is in the eleventh grade, per 7News.
According to DHS, Ortiz illegally entered the U.S. in 2024 and was released into the country by the Biden administration.
He is currently being held without bond in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, which is operated by the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office, led by Sheriff Stacey Kincaid.
According to the sheriff’s office website, the office does not honor ICE administrative detainers — requests to hold inmates — unless the detainer is accompanied by a criminal judicial order.

That's whacky. In high school we had a girl who was 20, they told her if she didn't graduate by 21 she was out and had to go get her GED, and we were the alternative high school. Just a regular high school having a 22 year old student? Like I says, whacky.

Clearly a policy that was implemented to enroll young adults illegals (most likely males) from absolute shithole countries with little to no formal education.

a lot of us voted,
and are going to suffer,
why?
because a lot of Virginians sat on thier hands, instead of voting for the black lady or the gay guy,
a lot of apathy amongst the gun owners,
and a piss poor GOP that had a lot of D's run unopposed,
also, the GOP and similar right leaning groups do not do ballot harvesting like the D's do,
right or wrong, I know from person conversations when I was working in the hood that a lot of churches etc would pick up voters, have them fill out ballots, etc, and take them home after church,
none voted R,
add to that a shitton of out of state money in D's campaign funds,
a Gov't shutdown that managed to make it till just pass election day
and the DOGE cutting a lot of VA residents loose, (granted, it was needed, but the timing sucked)
and a Gov candidate that ran on a moderate platform, screamed Trump Trump Trump every 2 seconds, and yet, had no power to do shit, re Trump, and then showed her true colors and shit all over VA

Who can we put up to challenge her in the next election?

fiasconvaWe don't need to put up anyone to challenge her since she can't serve but one term but we have to find a good GOP candidate to challenge whoever they run.
