Thanks for posting it.

Thank you for posting that. I completely agree with your statement! I was fortunate to visit the cemetery in Normandy and to this day it was the most moving experience of my life.

Wow, very moving is an understatement, beautifully done. I knew we had a lot buried in France, but didn't realize the numbers until I watched this. Thank you for posting.

Edit: Watched again and counted... 9 cemeteries in France with more than 58,000 graves. I wasn't even aware of the cemeteries in Tunisia, Florence, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands and Manila. Really leaves no doubt about the "Greatest Generation".

I have been to a couple of those cemeteries, and they are awesome! Every one is meticulously groomed and truly peaceful. Colin Powell said: "And did we ask for any land? No, the only land we ever asked for was enough land to bury our dead. And that is the kind of nation we are." And he was right.

FWIW, the choir I sing with has sung "Hymn to the Fallen" by John Williams (background of the video). It was a moving experience.

(And I'm having trouble focusing on the screen right now.)
