I am involved in an LLC and about to go to litigation. My attorney has asked me to forward an email chain that I sent to him without our conversations tagged on the end to present to my partners attorney in an effort to resolve the issue without having to go to court.

When I try and send it to the attorney one of the responses I sent in the chain does not come through and unfortunately it's key to the issue at hand. I am using Gmail and my partner is on his own server.

Is it possible that my partner has done something that will not allow that particular email to go through? I know it sounds strange but that's where I am. I'm trying to convert the whole chain to a PDF and hope to be able to delete the conversations between my attorney and myself on the end of it.

Thanks..

If all else fails, “print” the email to .pdf and send it as an attachment.

Not sure if it's what's going one here but, I know that Lotus Notes has a feature that can be toggled on to prevent an email from being forwarded.

This may not be the issue, but try turning off the default 'conversation view' in Gmail, so you can see the entire string of emails. You could even try forwarding that one particular email.

Thanks everyone. I was able to convert it to a pdf and then edit out the last 2 conversations.
I still don’t know how or why that happened...

Some email services have an “unsend” feature. Be sure your lawyer knows about the issue.
