Thought I would share (I know I probably post way too much Big Grin) with everyone the experience I and about 75k others got to witness/participate at the first ever Major League Soccer game in Charlotte.

As the national anthem started, the microphone audio was cut, and as a result everyone in the stadium began to sing. Truly moving, and still get goosebumps watching a video I found online.

Kiraly10, Thank you so much for posting this. Waking up sick and feeling like crap then coming across this post made me feel quite a bit better. That video was so great to watch. I had no idea Charlotte had an MLS team. Just judging by the caliber of the fans I think this is a team I might be supporting and watching play in that stadium in the very near future. Cool

One of my fondest memories of my youth was going to DC to watch the Washington Warthogs play with my entire soccer team. It really motivated us to step up our game and boosted our enthusiasm for the beautiful sport that I loved playing. This was before everyone got a trophy and the team with the best record earned a 1st place trophy. We didn’t get it that year but we did the following year and I still have it.

Time flies by. I am now coaching my daughters soccer team and we are about to start our third season. It’s been an incredible experience watching our returning players improve and enjoy the beautiful sport. I am hoping the team parents and players show some interest in attending a game sometime this season.

I bet they will have a youth soccer team night. They usually have the kids march around the pitch before the game.

You should contact the team's group sales office.
