Rick LeeThe living wage of 15 bucks an hour
I still don't understand why anyone thinks an entry level job is supposed to support a family. When I was a teenager, that's when most entry level jobs were staffed by other teenagers. By the time a family comes along, you're expected to have moved up the economic ladder a bit. $15/hr might be a living wage for one person, who lives pretty modestly and has no debt. But a company being forced by the law to give a raise like that is going to pass the cost along in higher prices and/or worse service by cutting staff. Nothing is free, even if liberals think it is.

jimmy123xA minimum wage job was never meant to be a career. It was a job for retirees, high school/ college kids, ENTRY LEVEL. If someone hasn't been able to earn more than minimum wage their entire life, it's on them.
Here's the problem as I see it. What's going to happen to the people already making $15-25 an hour. Their wage is also going to have to go up, but it's not going to go up nearly as much as someone making $10 an hour that jumps to $15.......so everything is going to cost more. Unemployment will also be higher, as many companies will find ways to do more with less employees.
This isn't about minimum wage. It's a tax grab so the government can take in more income tax off of people and bump more people into higher brackets.....

Skins2881 Biden to raise minimum wage for federal contracted workers to $15 per hour.. He hasn't been successful yet at jacking up the cost of your cheeseburger yet, but he can force an increase to the cost of government services.
