Indeed. I keep an old (thoroughly washed) lunchmeat container of it under the seat of my truck.

Somebody keeps farting in there...

Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

This ^^
Line a bowl with aluminum foil and put sterling silver item in bottom , put some baking soda in (about a tablespoon) then add boiling water.
Works great.

I am interested. How exactly do you do this?

I just sprinkle it by hand on both the roof and lawn. Moss loves acid environment and the baking soda changes the ph causing the moss to die off.

On the higher parts of my steep roof I just toss it up the best I can. Thinking of trying a saturated water solution and spraying.

It's great in toothpaste, Arm & Hammer toothpaste has been my go to for years.

I make a paste with it to scour sinks and even stains on Formica countertops.

Of course Irish soda bread wouldn't be soda bread without it.

I also use baking soda to tenderize beef ... especially when sliced thin. Makes the beef so velvety tender.

"Is there anything baking soda won't do?"

<not a single example of something baking soda won't do>

Razz

Pour hot water mixed with baking soda down a drain then add vinegar and shut/cover the drain. Great way to clear any minor clogs without using harmful chemicals (especially if you have private septic).

Vinegar and baking soda also makes for a humane way to kill small animals that need to be put down. Mix both in a sealed container and it's like a mini gas chamber. Before you report me to the nearest FBI field office I had a mouse trap that didn't kill the mouse however it was badly injured. A quick google search revealed that this was the way to go and it was quite effective.

When I winterize my vehicles I put baking soda over all the carpets. It eats any odors and keeps some pests away. It's an inconvenience to have to vacuum it when I get back but the benefits are worth it.
