Good grief, it's as if the parents gave him a baggie of sugar in the waiting area. Either the kid has mental problems and the patents should've given him a sedative or, parental guidance and discipline doesn't exist in that household. They need to travel by boat.

Anybody had a flight like this or, have airlines boot'd passengers because their children were too unruly?

I'm surprised they didn't throw that family the fuck off the plane. I think I'd rather have the emotional support peacock shitting in the aisle versus that bullshit.

I have a bunch of kids (some are grown now).

Mine were nothing like that. Ever. But if they were -- I'd stuff one in the damn overhead compartment before I'd let them run amok like that.

Unreal. Totally preventable too.

We never traveled by air until we were at least 18 years old. Problem anticipated, problem solved.

I do not care to watch it either. But I suggest taking the parent, parents to the back of the plane and beat them pretty severely. I do not get it. The plane staff should of intervened. Like my dad say's and he was in public education for decades. They are worried about getting sued. So they do nothing and shit like this is permissable.

I would of demand that the crew handle the situation or put me in first class. Their choice.

That is absolute bullshit.

'mom let's the kid do whatever he wants throughout the flight'
And this explains exactly how to end up with a kid that has no idea how to behave. some adults should not have kids

If that kid couldn't be calmed down within say 10 min after departure they should have deplaned the family and let the flight go. More than a 20min delay for an out of control passenger is too long

I traveled once 2 rows behind a 2-year-old who screamed for a solid 7 hours. My mom would have stuffed a sock in my mouth after just a couple of minutes if I'd tried that. (But we didn't travel by air when I was a child--almost no one did, especially with children.)

That started well before that flight. The parents are to blame. I have two nephews that were allowed to control their parents throughout their childhood. One is 21 and supported still by his parents, has no job. The other son who is 24 yrs old to this day verbally abuses his mother. The parents did not listen to our coaching from my wife and I throughout the years. It’s sad to see this happen it is truly the fault of the parents, wanting to o be their friend instead of being a parent.

Child appears to be on the Autism spectrum. May not just be a case of bad parenting.

My daughter first flew to France when she was less than five months old. That was a ten hours flight. She has since flown back and forth from France two more times. She's only 22 months old right now. She's always well behaved, but a lot of that also has to do with my wife being over prepared for anything. She'll have little baggies of all different types of snacks good enough just to satisfy her, toys strategically organized in her carry on, bottles of milk ready to go, and the kid's amazon tablet preloaded with Netflix and Amazon kid shows as a last resort. In addition to that, a couple of weeks before the trip, she will hide certain toys from her as well as not give her the tablet at all during that time. That way she has no chance of getting bored with it and is happy and surprised to see them again on the flight.

Anyway, I would've absolutely lost it on that flight with that parent if I were forced to put up with that nonsense. I would not have been kind.

No Nyquil, but I see tomorrows AntiFA organizers in the making. The kids need to be banned on other flights until they turn, say, 18. That's when society says we can imprison them. Lets make them enlist in the Marines when they turn 18. Except why burden the Marines with the bullshit. Lets sentence them to some time under the jail. They're already senseless, so a proper beating probably won't help. No reason not to try I guess.

Yet another reason I don't want to go anywhere near a commercial aircraft anymore. And I used to love air travel.
