The Tesla roadster is going to be 250k, I'll buy that and a 500k house to keep it at, over this.

I agree that it's probably the future but there are still significant technological hurdles to overcome before that happens. Weight is one that is complicated as is resourcing the elements to make the batteries(at least the current technology.)
