Pretty damn cool, not sure about the $750k MSRP though, at $700k it's a no brainier, that extra $50k makes it a little high, but I guess you make it up in gas savings right?

760hp 780tq weighs in at 4,600 lbs.

They are making 75 of them and about 20 track models which will be lighter and slightly more powerful.

I thought it was a joke at first. So many exotics at cars and coffee this morning. Over $20 million in cars today, maybe more. Saw a Ford GT, tons of Mclearens, a Delorean, bunch of Ferraris and Lambos. Cool older cars.

Interesting but IMO, foolish. Why bother? Even if having an electric sports car is important, wait for the C8 hybrid.

Awesome color combination.

Nice. All that torque down low must be nice for rock crawling out in the middle of no where. I see it has to optional signal fire fluid carrying can.

I guess I’m old school or just getting old. Electric supercars and superbikes don’t interest me much because they are missing a key element to the joy of spirited motoring which is the glorious sound of a race exhaust at high rpm. The sound of nice, properly modified car or bike as they fly by is true modern art....and is a huge part of what got me into muscle cars and why I’m hooked on superbikes.

That adrenaline hit I get when I feel and hear the visceral, mechanical howl that grows into a banshee like scream near redline is something I don’t think e-cars or e-bikes will ever be able to replicate or come close to properly replacing.

But I bet it’s fast off the line....

But wouldn't it be [kinda] cool to have a dummy electrical input on the opposite side of the gas filler for your Hellcat?

Imagine the ensuing hilarity when backing in to a charging station and plug it in.

Trying to understand the electric Jeep.

Will we now see Jeeps with brackets for Jerry Cans and Brackets for generators?

How long would it take a portable generator to recharge a Jeep?

Maybe silly questions, suppose if you run out of juice in the middle of no-where you could just call your buddy at the power company and tap into the nearest power pole.

Tan, lighting/camera is showing it more red than than it actually was.

Either way if you are getting a $750k car made for you I'm sure they they can put different color interior in it.

It's not an electric jeep. It was a joke. There are Tesla charging stations outside of my gym, and I always park my Rubicon in front of them. One day I was screwing around and faked charged it for laughs. Actually, I'm not sure that the Tesla owners thought it was all that funny. Gave me a chuckle though.

That Corvette really is cool in a hot rod sense. I can appreciate the time and effort it took to make it what it is.

Want a 750 hp four motor pick-up? Look no further than RIVIAN.

And a matching SUV - some really clever thinking going into both of them.

So some aftermarket company butchered a corvette to make it a 4,600 lbs pig. I don't get it.

Father In Law is planning on getting a Rivian
https://rivian.com/

Yes you can make portable battery boosters for electric vehicles.

As to why?
4 independent motors allowing instantaneous torque only to specified wheels, the ability for wheels to spin the same or opposite direction or be locked independently. All with no drive shafts transfer case. Tons of storage space under the hood as there is no motor in the way. Allowing for more secure storage in a shorter wheel base. The list goes on.

There are tons of reasons why an electric off-road vehicle is desirable.
Rivian is claiming 400 mile range which is pretty good.
I could not care less about electric as a gas replacement. I like the tech and options behind it.
Running a generator for a bit to get some more charge would not bother me in the slightest.
My reasons for wanting an electric is pure novelty and nothing to do with reducing gas consumption.
