First of all, prayers for you and your family as you deal with your loss. Obviously, he was a wonderful man and a Great American. May he rest in peace.
There will come a day, hopefully very soon, when your memories of him will bring a smile to your face, or even laughter. Yes, you'll always miss him and be sad that he's not here, but you'll remember those great times and what a blessing it was to be with him.
On a side note, I too have a Winchester 67A that belonged to my grandfather. My first firearm and and still a sweet shooter. A treasured heirloom.
