I tried ordering a holster from them. I get this error message “PAYEE_ACCOUNT_RESTRICTED The merchant account is restricted.” I checked with PayPal, they said there is possible fraudulent activity with them. I hope this is not true. Is there anyone who lives around El Paso who can check on this?
All I’m asking for is someone to drive by and see if they are still open for business.

Hmm. I’ve got three of their holsters. Why not just give them a call?

Thank you both. I hope this is misunderstanding with PayPal. Otherwise, another good holster maker is gone.

They have other options than Paypal, such as Venmo or using a Debit/Credit card, perhaps it's an issue with Paypal since they have an issue with firearms, firearm parts and ammo since it's a related item.

I have used PayPal on the website many times with no issues. The website will not let me use a credit card. I’ve never tried Venmo.

I ordered a holster on 1/22 it arrived 2/7, however. There is absolutely no communication with the customer, you place your order and receive a confirmation. as in period.

I ordered the same thing in early May 24 in September I asked about when it might be finished. Sent a photo of it on a porch across town somewhere 4 weeks after order. The website clearly states 2-4 months, I never got too concerned. Don’t expect to get any shipping confirmation either, they use FEDEX.

I did take the time to reach out and suggest an email letting me know it had been shipped would have been nice. I found the envelope covered with snow while I was clearing the walks. Somewhere between May24 and Sept24 they went dark. Early on I made a few calls and e-mails all were answered in a timely fashion. In sept I got the photo, and answering machine. PayPal credited my account.

I’ve found a few other things I like, but the sketchy communication gives me pause.

Good morning, Marlin Fan,

It seems this is the third thread you have started on El Paso Saddlery. Over the past few weeks nothing seems to have changed.

I recommend you contact PayPal and get your money back. From the many comments it is clear that they are not doing business as many would expect.

Just FYI, if you ever stop in there, you may not be impressed with the storefront, especially when a train passes. However, if you ask, you can go to the back into the factory where there are bins full of already made holsters and their other manufactured items.
