For Christmas last year my wife and I got ourselves a cat iron, ceramic coated, 7 quart Dutch oven from Cuisinart. OMG!!! Same recipes for oxtail stew and pasta sauce but damn!!!! So much better. Had anybody tried to convince me of the flavor difference before I and my wife cooked up a favorite standard dish, is have them stoned and crazy. Life moves pretty fast. A premium cheese knife. I picked one up on a whim a few months ago from the SIGforum classifieds. It's the best tool for the job I've ever owned.

I got to this point and wondered what a cat iron was. I'm with Mars_Attacks. I love my air fryer. Some of these OXO Good Grips Chef's Squeeze Bottles. I use Olive Oil A LOT for cooking. More control, less drips with the squeeze bottles. BONUS: These bottles work GREAT for filling Kerosene Lanterns. Etc Etc

Good scissors. I bought a new rug for the dining room and needed to trim the padding. The normal scissors broke on it so I bought scissors by Milwaukee. Big, burly, sharp MAN scissors cut that padding like it was paper. Now I just look for stuff to cut.

Dewalt Oscillating Tool. I don’t use it often, but when I do, it’s usually something it makes much easier.

I was always complaining about the rolls of plastic wrap we use from Costco about how they would not tear off right, would get wrinkled up when trying to use, start to get stuck on the roll and ... well, get all messed up. This last Christmas she bought me this dispenser : Stretch-Tite Wrap'n Snap 7500 Dispenser/Cutter Have been using nearly everyday since Christmas and I totally love it ... never had one issue with the plastic wrap and it is so easy to use. This message has been edited. My 3D printer. It has taken my model building to a whole new level. Not quite right? Tweak it and print out another copy. And then there's the repeatability. Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Instant meat thermometer. I use it every day. So quick compared to my old mercury thermometer. __________________________ "Trust, but verify."

That would have to be the air fryer bought at Costco on a lark in 2017. Makes fantastic fries from cheap Aldi frozen whatevers. The ultimate fish sticks and Tyson breaded chicken from Costco are great. Makes great hotdogs and brats about 80% as good as grilled out but with zero effort. And breakfasts have never been without potatoes since. Just about anything fried except fried cheese however. This was not suitable. Most of the cheese just migrates out of the breading and pools in the bottom. We recently found out it makes a great baked potato washed and coated with olive oil, garlic powder and kosher salt. Easy Peasy.

Razor-Tune It’s basically a power grinder designed to sharpen the side edges of skis. We are an active skiing, ski racing and ski patrolling family and I should have bought this two years ago when I first considered picking one up. I am a very good hand-tuner but the edge that this tool creates is better than what I can do and faster too. __________ "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotomy."

Adjustable ball hitch for the receiver on my truck. It has about six different height adjustments. Makes towing different things so much better. It was given to me by someone who wrecked their truck and didn't need it anymore. I would have never thought to buy one. "Fixed fortifications are monuments to mans stupidity" - George S. You guys talked me into buying a Dyson cordless vac. My wife loves it, now thinking about how to make a little alcove in the wall behind the door to mount it, run a new outlet from the fridge on the other side of the wall. _________________________ “Remember, remember the fifth of November!"

For me it was a pick up truck. I had always been a sedan guy. Audi or something similar. But when I came to Tucson the A4 was the least useful vehicle so I bought a Tacoma and I don’t know how I ever got along without one.
