Yup. Guy at my old sportsman's club was killed after running over an in-ground hive while mowing the club's grounds. "America is at that awkward stage. Don't drink beer while doing yard work. The little bastards will sneak into the bottle, and sting you on your tongue. Might as well go ahead and get drunk after that as your speech will be slurred the rest of the day anyway.

Ortho Home Defense works really well. If you're goin' through hell, keep on going. Don't slow down. If you're scared don't show it. You might get out before the devil even knows you're there. NRA ENDOWMENT LIFE MEMBER

Farm Supply (local chain, similar to Tractor Supply but friendlier and more specialized stuff) sells Yellowjacket traps. You can get the bigger plastic ones that you empty, add another cotton ball covered with attractant, and put back in service or you can get the disposable ones. I like the disposable ones. You cut the circle as indicated on the sealed plastic bag, tie a loop of string or wire through the ring in the pop up top, then toss a few similarly prepped ones in a ziplock bag and seal. Take a jug of water, the ziplock bag, a hammer and the stakes you’re goin to hang them on and head out. Drive the stake, hang the trap (leaving the pop up down), open the water jug, then pull the bag down popping the pop up up, and pour it full of water to the fill line. In a good spot they’ll almost completely pull up. When it is flies in there going after the decomposing YJs, the attractant is done, time to trash that one and put a fresh one up. Fun times watching those fill up. This message has been edited. Last edited by: slosig,
