We're here for you.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Prayers sent your way to Gainesville. Miss living there, miss Johnnys BBQ, miss a bunch of things but don’t miss NEGMC. They’ve patched me up more times than I can count so hoping they can do the same with your wife. Our heart goes out to you and your wife and family, our prayers to the Lord.

No, I'm good. She's the one who needs help, and other than prayers, not anything we do at this time.

PLEASE let us or someone know if that changes. Until then, Prayers away!

Good news and not so good news:
Good news is that Carol will go home today. It may be late, but we will update when we get home.
Not so good news: The Radiation Oncologist, Dr Lake came by today. He reiterated that they have not been able to identify the cancer based on the lung biopsy they took yesterday. More analysis will be required. They said a couple of times could be from kidneys. Samples will also be sent to a network of pathologist around the country available to help with identifying (Emory, Duke, Mayo, MDAnderson). She is a little overwhelmed. She is having some cognitive issues due to brain swelling and bleeding. The Left side will be treated almost like had a stroke. She will have PT and OT by home health.

Timeline:
Home today
Monday - "Mapping" with Radiation Oncologist
Tuesday - PT at home.
Wednesday - Adjustable bed delivered.

Don’t be afraid to take your wife to Emory or Northside Hospital. NEGMC is not anywhere near the best cancer hospital in the Atlanta area.

So sorry to hear.
I know there are few words to say at such a time.
Wishing her only the very best!
