Time Warner Internet (now Spectrum) Customers - Possible Internet Speed bump for same or less amount.
FYI,
Spectrum has fewer internet speed tiers than TWC, and their base service is generally higher than some of the top tiers TWC had (this may be based on regions though).
For instance, TWC's base speed was 20 Mbps while Spectrum's is 60 Mbps (they also have a 100 Mbps service)
Those members who have Time Warner internet service before Spectrum acquired them may want to call customer service and see if they can get their service speed increased at their current rate (or maybe even reduced price).
If you don't contact them, things will just continue as they are today with your current speed/price.
In my case I had TWC's "extreme" internet - a laughable 30 Mbps for $80/mo. Contacted Spectrum (I used the online chat feature) and found that I could get 60 Mbps (10 down) for $65/mo. They offered 100/10 Mbps for $102/mo as well. I went with the 60 Mbps plan, and when they made their change on their side - turns out that my area is marked to get 100 Mbps for $65/mo!
If you have a bundle, or sign up for one you may be able to get a sweeter deal. This message has been edited. Last edited by: cyanide357, June 03, 2017 07:09 PM

I experienced this same thing w/ comcast/exfinity. I could not figure out why I was getting a speed boost from 30Mps to 75+ after downgrading. Bastards.

Saw the Spectrum truck outside, went and asked the driver/tech. He says most people keep their TWC bundle until it expires, then change to a Spectrum agreement. Can get broadband up to 300 Mbps, he says 50-100 is plenty. At that point I would give up VOIP and decrease cable to basic.
