I think that the primary problem is that SIG Forum doesn't require membership to read posts. Some people are just mean and malicious.

Might've been accidental. Might've been a non-member spotted the thread, logged-in, and...

You selected the "Image URL" icon, you then added a URL from the SIGforum "Link" selection from https://postimg.org instead of the "Direct Link", you then selected "Image URL" again and included the Direct Link and IMG tags as the title of the URL. (I think that's what you did, but it only matters to my curious self.)

This is the Link and Direct Link from postimages that I am referring to:

What you should do is just select the "Image URL" icon on SIGforum, and then embed the Direct Link from postimages. Then it will look like this:


Also, this topic was created to advertise a service provided for SIGforum members by @creslin as an alternative to sites like postimages. Elsewhere I created a pros and cons summary of Photobucket alternatives. I might try and find that later if there is interest I am already late for New Year's Day activities. (Eh, I've seen enough of my family recently. I'll just them that I had "computer problems".)

There are numerous questions about how to embed or "attach" photos to SIGforum posts in the SIG Forum Office.

Unrelated on how to use SIGforum's software to embed photos, this is the list that I compiled of Web sites which allow 3rd party hosting which is in the 14 page Photobucket thread - 3rd Party Hosting Pros and Cons. I thought that I had added @creslin offer, but it's not included. If there are any questions, I'll reply to older topics that I am subscribed to (like this one), but I am not bumping them up.

(I mean, that many Holiday lunches and dinners is just too much for me having all of these computer problems.)

This thread needs to be cleaned up or rewritten before becoming stickied, but a sticky for photo hosting solutions is needed to reduce clutter. I have done all that I can do to be helpful for now, but SIGforum needs simple, concise information and instructions about how to embed images into posts here.
