No body on the Forum went this year? Has it become Not A Thing now?

I think in the past we've had fairly active members that were going and the social media world was not covering it very well. Now there are dozens of Instagram/Youtube/X/etc personalities pressing out a lot of content.

Yeah, these days, it's not worth the hassle.

It’s on my bucket list as long as Muzzle Works exists. Someday maybe. TFB covers it well on YouTube.

In years past, we did have a correspondent at the show, but as DaBigBR points out, there has been an explosion of coverage of SHOT over the past few years. There was once a time when you had to come to discussion forums such as this one to get news on the show, but that is far from the case now.

And on top of that, I have to say that my many years of running this place and watching what the manufacturers display at SHOT, I've come to be cynical about it. I feel like most of it is just a bunch of bullshit.

I didn't watch but 30 seconds or so but a shot show video was just on ytube. there are a lot of new guns coming from S&W - bringing back no lock mt guns and chiefs specials, lever rifles, fine tuning m&ps - many are saying it's that Tennessee water.

The new S&W lock free lineup is great news. The guntubers have almost real time news they go back to their hotel room and edit and publish for us to see. The Ruger/Glock got released ahead of SHOT but is still fun news. Nothing else has grabbed me.

Last year magpul announced translucent 30 round mags. Took almost a year to hit the street. This year they announced 20 round translucent. We’ll see how long till they show up in the wild.
