Isn't there also something about buy EV but charge them during the day only - when they are most likely to be used - and not charging them at night. Instead of using solar power, use power generated by traditional means (less eco friendly) to charge EV.

If you didn't know, California has effectively banned diesel engines as of 2025. The NOX limits are below what is technologically/economically feasible, so many new diesels will be "49-state" engines.

This will do wonders for the shipping and logistics industry - especially California's shipping ports. After killing manufacturing, oil drilling, and every other industry except for entertainment and high tech, now they are after shipping and trucking.

Electric trucks are not viable no matter what publicity stunt Elon Musk pulls, and hydrogen fuel cells are a long way off before they are commercially viable.

Gasoline and natural gas IC engines are an alternative, but natural gas tanks are big heavy and bulky, and even DI gasoline engines only go up to around 7 liters and still can't match the torque of a big diesel.

Ban the carbon based ships from the ports also.

This is to ensure the union trash gets a good taste of what they demanded.

If your computer use a lot of electricity, the utility should make you pay for it by charging you more.

Oh wait..

But Facebook and their insanely power hungry data farms are OK. Especially when they are located outside of CA. They are all coming to Iowa with these facilities because we have (or used to have) reasonable eletric and water rates.
