Absolutely correct. Average years of dedicated training to black belt is 10-12 years. It’s hard on your body with the constant sparring and pressure testing. You won’t see an 11 year old black belt like commercialized TKD or karate. _____________ | |||

Thanks everyone. It has been a great journey so far. I do jits as much for my mental well being as my physical. It really does help keep me centered. It does truly help with flexibility as you age. And it's an art where strength is not nearly as important as technique. myrottiety, I saw your post when you got your purple. I feel the same way, that my jujitsu sucks. All I can do is try to be a tiny bit better every time I step on the mats. I appreciate all of your comments and support. I hope to be training for another 10 years or more. There are some amazing men and women still doing jujitsu through their 70's and into their 80's. __________________________ Writing the next chapter that I've been looking forward to. | |||
