New house, new duties.

I am loaded with acorns and some other kind of nuts.
Is there some kind of sweeper or “ picker upper” that I can hook up to my garden tractor?

I have not had experience with this, but have heard the Case or Ingersoll lawn sweeper work great for picking up acorns.

What type of garden tractor?

If you are taking about a riding lawn mower, there is a towable "sweeper" but it's much better for leaves than acorns.

There are yard vacuums you can tow behind a tractor, but they're 3k or so.

Depending on if it's an actual tractor, you might be able to get a front mount sweeper, they work the best but are not usually universal.

I shall respect you until you open your mouth, from that point on, you must earn it yourself.

Let’s call it a rider mower.

I like the deer idea, but we don’t get enough deer :-/ there is an acorn every 8” or so for 1/4 acre

Sure there are. You can buy one at any farm and garden store and probably HD or Lowes. I have one and it hooks up to the back of my zero turn. I works OK but you have to empty it a lot.
