There were two questions on the ballot:

1. Voter ID Requirement.

2. Red Flag Law.

Being a Good Conservative (but I repeat myself...) I voted Yes on 1, No on 2.

Of course - no surprise here - the statewide results were the exact opposite of that.

Question 1 as written was flawed because it attacked the Absentee Ballot system and IMHO was doomed to failure because of it.

Question 2 makes it MUCH easier to invoke the Red Flag, partially because it removed the mental health evaluation requirement AND also because it allows pretty much anybody to petition for it. That'll never get abused, No, Sir. Roll Eyes

Neither of those results surprised me even a little bit. The population centers of Maine (such as they are) are Liberal Shitholes and the rest of us are just plain fucked.




Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.
